Kaye studied Law at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, before completing the Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law, Chester.
Kaye has worked at Mackenzie Jones since 2007. Initially Kaye worked as a Legal Secretary, progressing to the position of Trainee Solicitor, before qualifying as a Solicitor in November 2010.
Kaye has dealt with all manner of personal injury and clinical negligence claims over the years, but has more recently joined our wills and probate department dealing with the preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and the administration of estates.
Kaye works closely with Andrew Reeve at our Prestatyn office where she is gaining experience in more complex and high-value estates as well as trust administration.
Kaye has a particular interest in applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of Deputies to deal with the affairs of persons who are no longer capable of managing and administering their own affairs.
Kaye is a student member of STEP, the global professional association for practitioners who specialise in inheritance and succession planning. She is currently studying the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates.
Kaye's current workload is approximately 70% in wills, trusts and probate, 20% in Court of Protection matters and 10% in her remaining personal injury and clinical negligence cases.
In her free time Kaye enjoys travelling whenever possible and has visited Hawaii, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Bali, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand in recent years. She will also admit to an obsession with the American country music band, Little Big Town, and she follows them around whenever they visit the UK!
