Real Estate/Commercial Property Lawyer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a real estate/commercial property lawyer to join a well- regarded Lexcel, CQS and Legal 500 accredited practice with offices in Chester, St Asaph and Menai Bridge on Anglesey.

In order to be considered for this position, you will be a qualified solicitor or legal executive with a good history of working independently on a range of commercial property transactions. You would be joining a niche, busy department which continues to receive regular instructions from a loyal and diverse client base both locally and throughout England and Wales, as well as from new clients and introducers often based on recommendation from existing contacts.

You will advise clients on a broad range of matters pertaining to real estate/commercial property matters including sales, purchases and refinancing, as well as advising on leases for landlords and tenants, business sales and purchases across a number of sectors, with a particular specialism in healthcare and holiday park work.

You will ideally have a strong desire to provide services to owner managed businesses, property investors, property developers and landlords and tenants of a variety of commercial premises. The real estate/commercial property team has a strong reputation, combining excellent technical skills with a commercial approach.

You will need to be able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team and to respond to challenges quickly and accurately often within tight timescales. You will therefore have the ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure and have strong IT skills. In addition to the above, you will need to be flexible and self-motivated. You will need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and thrive upon a demanding workload. An entrepreneurial flair or interest in business development would also be a welcome asset given the department's commitment to growth and to involving all its members in marketing and development initiatives. An existing client/introducer base would also be a bonus.

You will assist a Director in the department as well as handling your own files, ideally generated by your own existing connections. If you have the appetite, there are genuine opportunities to head up the department and to become a Director/Shareholder in the business in the future.

Salary is competitive and dependent upon experience with a generous annual holiday entitlement, home/remote working combined with a friendly, professional office environment located in the centre of Chester, St Asaph Business Park and Menai Bridge.

The role would suit a solicitor or legal executive who has gained relevant experience with either a national, regional or bespoke property practice with at least 4 plus years' PQE and be looking for a niche, innovative, independent firm to progress your career with. There would be no need to be office based and a generous salary would be offered commensurate with experience.
