Mackenzie Jones and invited guests enjoyed the annual trip to Chester Cup Day.  There were several experienced jockeys on hand to guide the way for the novice riders making their first outing at The Roodee.

Following a mainly liquid lunch, we are relieved to report there were no fallers at the first hurdle.

On the hottest day of the year so far, preventing dehydration was essential and the novices followed the experienced runners advice to keep fluid levels up with constant supplies of champagne and pimms.

All runners remained in contention to the final furlong with some promising performances throughout the group. Once suitably rehydrated after the last race, it was back to the stables for rest, recovery and a well deserved nose-bag.
